Bakuman 3 Episode 5 Posted on: November 5, 2012 | 444 views In this week’s episode of Bakuman 3, Mashiro looks for a way to increase the rate at which he completes his sketches while Shun finds himself having to deal with his mother’s disapproval of him drawing manga. Mashiro agrees to allow Takagi work with Shun in his manga as long as PCP remains the top priority. Fortunately for Shun, Hatori submits the manuscript for Rabuta and Peace directly for serialization and is successful. However, Shun reveals his mother’s disapproval of him becoming a mangaka. Hatori and Ashirogi Muto explains to him the hardships involved in becoming serialized and convinces him not to pass up such a rare opportunity. Things don’t go well at home for Shun. His insistence on becoming a mangaka falls on his mother’s deaf ears. He decides to run away from home as protest to his mother’s lack of understanding. For the next few days, he sleeps at a park with his dog, Peace (who’d followed him) nearby Ashirogi Muto‘s studio. Ashirogi Muto soon discovers his recent change in lifestyle. Kaya allows Shun to stay at her father’s home while he looks for a new place for him. Shun‘s mother eventually makes her way to Ashirogi Muto‘s studio to take him back, but he refuses. Tensions emerge as both sides attempt to validate manga as an art form, but ultimately, Shun’s sister, Hitomi was able to convince their mother to allow him to pursue his dream. The cancellation of Hiramura and Aoki‘s titles is eminent, thus, the need to submit new works for an upcoming contest for serialization. Ashirgi Muto finds this as an opportunity to submit a work that is deemed worthy for an anime adaption despite Takagi‘s already busy schedule.
